The Chief Executive Officer, NEPAD/APRM Kenya Secretariat, Amb. Dr. Samori Okwiya, accompanied officials from COMESA – SG Ms. Chileshe Mpundu, Principal Secretary- Industry – Dr. Juma Mukhwana, KIRDI – DG. Ing Calvin Onyango, Director of Human Capital Development, AUDA-NEPAD – Symerre Grey-Johnson – and various Senior Officials to the launch of  Business Incubators for African Women Entrepreneurs (BIAWE 2) Launch.

The BIAWE is a COMFWB project aimed at establishing and upgrading a network of business incubators in the COMESA region with the purpose of addressing some of the challenges faced by women in small and medium scale enterprises.

The phase 2 of the BIAWE project was launched at Kenya Industrial Research and Development Institute (KIRDI) offices in South C, Nairobi.
