The NEPAD Agency has partnered with Power Africa, which is sponsored by the United States Government through USAID to implement geothermal energy projects. NEPAD has the support of in-country Power Africa Transaction Advisors who can provide backing to any NEPAD initiative. Ministry of Energy and Petroleum in collaboration with Geothermal Development Company (GDC) has embarked on the development of geothermal projects in the Rift Valley area e.g Suswa, Baringo/Silali.
