The NEPAD/APRM Kenya Secretariat held discussions with officials from the Human Capital and Institutional Development Directorate of the AUDA-NEPAD. The discussions were focused on implementation of the Skills Initiative for Africa (SIFA) Programme in Kenya and a quest to enhance collaboration and partnership between the two institutions so as to achieve the desired impact from AUDA-NEPAD Programmes in Kenya.

The AUDA-NEPAD delegation is in Kenya to facilitate the signing of the SIFA Grant Financing Agreements and draw a programme to roll out the implementation of the programme. The Grant Financing Agreements for Kisumu and Kisii National Polytechnics have been signed by the Cabinet Secretary, National Treasury and Economic planning. Once endorsed by AUDA-NEPAD, the implementation of the programme will be commissioned.
Additionally, discussions were held on how to accelerate collaboration and partnership in the implementation of AUDA-NEPAD sustainable development programmes in Kenya.
