The APRM is a voluntary Governance “Self-Assessment” by African countries, which was agreed upon by African Union (AU) and adopted in 2003.
NEPAD/APRM Kenya Secretariat
NEPAD was institutionalized through a presidential executive order in 2002, making way for the establishment of the National Steering Committee (NSC)
