The NEPAD/APRM Kenya Secretariat through its programme; Skills Initiative for Africa (SIFA), provides young people with knowledge and opportunities for skill development to make them strong, competent and self-reliant.

Consequently, the Africa Peer Review Mechanism (APRM) recognises that Youth make a bulk of the African population. In this regard, APRM allows the youth to participate in governance at all levels of societal, political, economic and social development.

To sum up, the youth continue to be an important resource in the world, and they should be allowed in governance, decision making and leadership processes.

The NEPAD/APRM Kenya Secretariat wishes all young people a skilful world youth skills day.
